Characterful old building; inside and outside. Lobby is a beautifully laid-out and decorated. A lively and comfortable atmosphere to relax, drink tea and generally enjoy watching the world go by. Especially the old fashioned book-shelves and paintings. Also impressed at having option/selection of loose teas. Lighting and decor...spot on. Nice comfortable furnishing. Excellent place to read morning papers, or a book. Oldie-worldy, but with all necessary modcons. A destination in itself, whether or not guesting in hotel. Lively but not rowdy! Lighting in lobby and restaurants perfect not over brigh as in some more modern places. Great combination of art-deko and victoriana, but still with all one could expect in terms of modern comforts and facilities. Much nicer than most modern places.Nice and woody. Hope u never modernise or tart-up the place. The Queens is something well worthy of preserving. Room very well soundproofed. Enjoyed views of outside, without being disturbed by the noise. Food and service in restaurant all rather fine. We're happy customers.

Central location. 2nd time here. Excellent hotel. Stayed over Christmas 1 night. Not cheap but for Leeds it’s one of the best. Parked in the train station car park next door. In the station area there is a door that goes directly into the hotel. You press a button for request to open. Hotel reception gave me a card to prove we had stayed there. When going home if you present this card to the train stn.office close to the station car park entrance (along with your ticket you got from the meter on entering), they will do something so you will get discount when you go to pay at the payment machine. Next time I will pay for breakfast (very good) on the day - as 2 of my party didn’t want it which I had paid for when booking. Same price I believe.

Location was perfect, right next to the train station. The staff were lovely and friendly and there was a lovely smell of fragrance as you entered through the revolving doors. I also liked that to access the lift you needed your room key. The rooms were spacious, lighting was comfortable and the bed was cosy. The breakfast was varied with a choice of cooked breakfast, order hot breakfast choices from the menu, fruits pastries and meats/cheese. Water was available in the reception area and check-in, even with queues, were stress free and we were quickly seen to as the desk was staffed to deal with us all. Loved that there was a safe in the room too. We had a full length mirror with lights and loved that it was next to plugs to do my hair.

Beautiful hotel in the Art Deco Style. Staff were very friendly and lovely to chat to. The beds are amazing - fantastic sleep as they were so comfortable. Ate in the restaurant - beautiful space And very classy BUT it sounded like a night club. The music was totally not in keeping with the environment. It was Loud, thudding and awful! The food was just ok and we didn’t have breakfast as leaving early to have breakfast elsewhere anyway. They are doing a refurb of the bar/restaurant - not sure why it will be an Indian restaurant when there are many great ones a stones throw away though. But, I do hope they leave the night club music out of the refurb. I would definitely stay there again - just for the wonderful beds!!!

Large very comfortable bed in a spacious clean room.,with a well equipped bathroom, although due to mobility problems, I had difficultly in accessing the bath, so that I could use the shower. I enjoyed the hot buffet breakfast. There was good choice of tables. Tables were cleared rapidly after use. The staff seemed happy and there were always sufficient numbers.. The hotel has a very impressive entrance. The hotel is adjacent to Leeds City station. There an excellent selection of pubs and bars.within a short walk. I will use this hotel for future visits to Leeds
